Here is the only male that I got from a LFS. I hesitated buying him as my tank has not cycled yet, but I could not resist when I saw him. He looks more yellow than green to me, but what do I know.

Thanks I hope to get this cycle over soon so I can start setting up a few more tanks and breeding some guppies. This makes the 5th week and my nitrites are still not going up. Ammonia=1.0, Nitrites=0.0, Nitrates=0, PH=7.6. Luckily I've only lost one fish out of 9. I have a 20 Gal tank by the way.
Are you using AmQuel+ or something like this

wow nice, your male look exactly like my old snake skin the pattern and the color on the tail abd body ^_^ but my male tail is way longer he id dead now ^_^ I feel sorry for him having to carry a heavy tail...bigger and longer then the guppy himself ^_^
I am not using anything in my tank I am only doing weekly water changes.
Even if you are on well water w/no chlorine added, you should be using water conditioner to get rid of heavy metals.Originally Posted by KY2006_Guppy
I think...therefore I am....not a guppy.
I have 2 seperate strains of fish just like this. I was alwasy under the impression they are Yellow snakeskins because of the tail fin or green snakeskins because of the body.

All 8 tanks are now moved over and running. Pictures galore of the step by step set up. Sorry if it seems like bragging but I am very happy on how this is turning out.
